The Design Process
I’m excited to work with you! Here is an outline of the design process:
Site & Content information is provided by you. This helps me to better understand the visual and structural needs of your site.
Once I’ve received the content, I will provide you with a start and estimated end date (typically within a month), based on my availability.
Design Contract is signed by both parties.
You will receive a request for deposit before the work can begin.
Once the deposit is received, I will create a few versions of the “home” page for your site, which I will send to you for review and feedback.
At this point we will discuss if I’m on the right track, and these discussions will ultimately provide a jumping off point for the rest of the site.
Or, if you feel I’m way off track, we can discuss ending the contract here. Design is very subjective and even though we jive in conversation, we may not be the right fit for your website design!
After we’ve agreed on a general look of the site, I will go through and build out the rest of the pages. Once the content is up, I’ll send the site to you for a final review.
After you are satisfied with the site, you will be asked to send the remainder of my fee.
Once final payment is received, I will set up the domain (or put through the domain transfer, if you already own the domain) and make the site “live”, including setting up site descriptions for SEO.
If you’d like contributor rights (so you can update content on the site yourself), I will send instructions to set you up with all the information you need.
